Every child is already an artist. What they need is someone to hand them real tools, show them how to see, and cheer them on while they figure out what they’re capable of. That’s what these classes are for.

I teach in-person art classes for young people, built on the same classical foundations I trained in — adapted so they’re hands-on, encouraging, and genuinely fun. Kids don’t need any experience to start. They just need to show up curious.

More Than a Craft Project

There’s a difference between an afternoon of crafts and actually learning to make art, and kids feel it. When a young artist is taught to really see — to notice shapes, light, shadow, and color the way painters do — something clicks. The work gets better, and so does their confidence.

We work through real fundamentals: observing carefully, drawing what’s in front of them, mixing color, building a picture step by step. These are skills they’ll carry far beyond the classroom, whether or not they ever call themselves an artist.

A Curriculum That Grows With Them

These classes follow a planned progression, not a string of unrelated projects. Each session builds on the last, so young artists can feel themselves improving and always have a clear next step to reach for. That sense of steady growth is where real confidence comes from.
