Where can I see your work in person?

I periodically put on short-term shows and events in the Fort Collins area as well as participate in national and regional shows. If you are town and would like to see a specific piece, arrangements can be made by appointment.  To receive information about my next event, please sign up for my newsletter here or at the bottom of this page.

I really like your work.  Do you accept commissions?

Yes.  Commission work depends on my current workload, and when you would like the finished piece.  If you would like to have a piece painted for you, contact me and we can discuss the project.  If we decide to go forward, a deposit is required to start the work and the remainder is due upon completion.

I’d really like to buy your art, but what if I don’t like it?

I want you to love your new painting, but sometimes what you see on the screen doesn’t match what you see in person.  No problem.  I offer a 14-day money back guarantee.  Simply return your artwork within fourteen days of receiving your order, and I will refund the price of the art.

Please note: You must use the original packaging for return shipping.  Unfortunately, returns are not accepted on commissions and custom work.

Is framing included in the price?

Artwork is often shipped framed, unless otherwise indicated.  If you see my work at a show, the frame is included in the price.   Oil paintings are either painted on hard panels or stretched, egg tempera paintings are painted on traditional gesso hardboard, and pastel paintings include acid free foam core.  They are all ready to be placed into a frame.

You are welcome to contact me with any questions about framing your art.

Framed pastels are placed under glass.  I use Tru-Vue anti-reflective glass as it almost completely eliminates glare and reflection will providing UV protections.

What does “en plein air” mean?

En plein air is a french phrase meaning outside or outdoors.  This phrase was originally coined by the French Impressionist painters when they began painting out of doors.  The phrase has been adopted around the world to denote paintings that are painted on-site, outdoors.  When I paint en plein air (outside) all of the painting is done on sight.  Once I’m back in the studio, I only make the slightest of touch-ups.
